bean sprout is owned and operated by Trish Haddad. She was born and raised in Toronto and earned a diploma in Public Relations at Humber College. Trish started the business in 1995 after a career in fundraising and public relations. In the early 1980s she owned a women's resale clothing store in Toronto called Change Gear. It was one of the first non-vintage resale shops in the city.
 
Trish lives in North Toronto and enjoys working and living in the same community. She supports local school and community fundraising efforts. Trish has helped other women who want to open their own business by volunteering her time and expertise.
